If the Ford has never had new injectors I do it now. My brother has one and about 170 the injectors started going. He has been changing one at a time but, in the end it's easier to just do them all and get it over with. Sounds like a big heavy truck by the time you get the extended cab and full size box and 4X4. If that is what you need and want that's OK . but, they can be tough to park and maneuver. Not criticizing, just letting you know.

How big of a camper. 1500 is a darned cheap camper around here. Unless you mean a slide in pickup camper. In that case that is about what they bring.

Ditto. Although, if they made a 10 foot bed, you can bet that is what we would have. They are never big enough, 'cept when backing a little bitty trailer around a 90 degree turn, in a tight space.

its a pickup box camper with roof ac toilet, shower, stove top oven fridge sink table bed/big upper bed, comes all the way to the front of the windshild on the extened cab truck. i have a pickup box camper than i use now but its a piece of **** in compairison. i could realy use an 3/4 ton pickup my boats are probably the lightest loads i ever tow. i have frequently had the need to tow 10,000 lbs(trailer-load) and even my other chevy (not the one im trading but the other one that i have) is setup for towing and struggles with alot of my loads. the powerstroke desil will still get 20mpg unloaded. and loaded the fuel millage drops much less than the fuel miliage with eather of my half ton chevy gas trucks. and by the way the trade is a done deal other than the paperwork

also my other chevy that im keeping is an extened cab short box 4x4 it shouldent be to much harder to park than that, also his reason for wanting to trade is this is his first desil and he dosent like the fact that its a desil becouse he has to plug it in when its below 20 degrees and he had the desil fuel gell up in it one cold night he would rather just have a gas powered truck plus even though they get about the same millage empty desil is an extra 30-40 cents a gallon over gas

Grab a jug of Power Service or Howes fuel additive from any truck stop and the fuel gel problem will be solved. The diesel should get better mileage overall, especially when towing heavy loads.Sounds like you are making a good move...;)

iv always ran howes in my desils iv had in the past in the winter time. with that and a place you can plug in a block heater if its left over an extened period of time and theres no problem. somtimes you can even get them started without being pluged in if you turn the key on wait for the glow plugs to shut off turn the key off and back on till they go off again and repeat a couple times before cranking normaly if you do that you can get them to start in below 0 weather
