I tried to level off my exhaust housing on an evinrude 40 hp early 90's style motor... it is perfectly level now and i know it will seal but i looked in the manual and is says explicitly not to do this... am i screwed? it says that the driveshaft splines will mess up the crank if you take too much material off the exhaust housing
Actually after reading it again it says that the runout on the surface is .009 inches.... putting a straight edge on it, it looks great but who knows.
