mildew on seats....

I just got my used boat. A 99 larson flyer. It has some mildew stains on the vinyl seating. What, if anyting will get this stuff off! Thanks alot!

If there isnt any dry cracking in the vinyl, I used a household bathroom milder remover and a deck brush... worked great for me.

Good idea, I'll give it a try. I did try some simple green and a rag and didnt even begin to take it off.

Try Tilex... I used that on mine... lifted it right off.

Make sure that you thoroughly rinse when done. Many of these products are especially harsh to the seam threads.

The best way to get the mildew out w/o ruining anything else is to dab it right on to the mildew spots with a sponge with some bleach on it.Then follow up with a clean water rinse.The mildew will disappear almost on contact.This way you wont get any on seams which can kill the threads.After the mildew is gone you can use some soft scrub on the entire seat.Charlie
