OK-
So today I noticed there is a crow wondering with the chickens in their run, it is doing everything they are doing, this is not the first time.
I figure it's going for eggs, but the hen's are laying in the hen house in their box.
Now my rooster is a hip dude as far as chickens go!!!
Have we brought this one over from the crow side???? LOL :D

Re: mini farm question???

I was raised on a farm and we had an above average amount of chickens. I can honestly say I have never seen crows "interacting" with the chickens. Keep us posted on these happenings as it seems to be a fowl plot afoot. :D sorry couldn't resist the pun.

Crows are really smart, probably trying to get the chickens comfortable with his presents then go for the egg.
I saw a video of crows taking turns feeding on a cheesdog someone dropped in a crosswalk, they were actually watching the DONT WALK sign and knew when to come down as to avoid humans getting too close as well as watching traffic.

It is more than one crow, we have a large (murder/colony) behind the house and they are always flying down (one at a time) sitting on the fence around the chicken, and I swear they are yacking back and forth.
But this is the first time that one has spent this much time in the run, 10-15 minutes, usually less than a minute or two.
darn funny, in the small scope of things.

We've had chickens since a kid. Have never seen a crow even slightly interested in the eggs. They are very fond of chicken feed and I've seen them working areas after chickens have "scratched" their way through it.

The crows are just looking for anything they can find to eat........

But .....You need a Scarecrow or borrow the Shotgun! LOL

The crows will give your chickens diseases and pest internal and external..................
