Mini jet boat

I went to a horse auction tonight and seen the coolest thing. They had a 16' semi vee aluminum boat with a brigggs motor on it. It drove a jet pump in the rear of it. The guy said top speed was about 7-8 mph but you could go through any weeds without a problem. The thing sold with boat,motor, and trailer $400. I sure wish we had a hitch on the Montana, I'da had another boat in the lake. Anybody ever see one of these?

I saw something similar this past weekend. It was 14' and had a Tecumseh (sp?) 7 hp rigged to what looked like the jet out of a jet ski. I talked with the owner briefly. He said it would only go about 10 mph, but it would go anywhere while doing the 10 mph. Pretty cool looking, wouldn't be much room for anybody else with my fat butt in there

I have an old kawasaki 300 jet ski I am planning to rig the motor and jet drive into a 14 foot john boat. Not quite sure how I will steer it yet, since the jet is fixed on these old jet skis.
