Hello, Would a 50lb thrust Minni-Kota be useful as a kicker for a 17Ft. Tri-hull? We have an opportunity to get this. Thanks all!

It should do great as a kicker on that hull. I have a 30lb thrust on my bayliner same size(emergency kicker). The one and only time I used it, I was 5 miles from the ramp. It got us back in 2 hours.
So with 50lbs, you should be fine.

Ok, I sent you a msg, but I may not get a reply, if i don't recognise the sender (been getting hacked lately)..So put "iboats" in the subject line, and I'll know it's safe, and it's you.

Where do you want to get kicked to!!!
If this emergency backup, I would really reconsider. How fast does the weather change where you boat. Here on Lake MI it can change in a matter of minutes.

We have some quick change weather here too, Essex. But a good TM and a hot deep cycle beat a set of oars any day.
I would rather have a pair of counter-rotating outboards tho.
