Minn Kota Powerdrive installation question

I just installed a Minn Kota Powerdrive 40 on my 1994 Lund 1700. On the front of this boat, there is a flip up cap with a two prong receptacle inside for plugging in a trolling motor (I think). On my new trolling motor, there is the cord for plugging in the foot control, and two more cords (red &black) for connecting the unit to a battery.

What would I need to buy to be able to just plug in the trolling motor, instead of using the two battery connections? Is there a "two prong adapter" or something like that which would work? Thnaks much!

You can buy a 2 prong plug to plug her in, Gilligan, but you may have to buy the set (plug and socket) to get it.

Good luck. :)

The plug is available separately. Most any store that sells boating/fishing supplies have them including WalMart, most farm stores, Cabela's, Bass Pro, Dicks, and of course, right here on iBoats. You cut the clips/ring terminals off your wires and splice them to the pigtails on the new plug.
