minnkota edge direction indicator

Any one know how to get the direction indicator to rotate as to show which way the trolling motor is pointing? I sent to MK I am sure they will respond. Thanks in advance. Don

Did you ever get an answer from Minnkota? My MK does not turn either (MK AT40/foot steer 5 speed). The plastic gear underneath the indicator doesn't turn. I did find a manual online, but can't tell much about the mechanical aspects. I believe it's attached to a cog that is turned by the cable drum pulley.
