Hi All, I just mounted my Terrova with I-pilot on my boat today. I noticed that there was a wire that lead from the head down through the coil to the base and is zip tyied to the foot pedal wire. It has a small 4 prong end to it.

I read the manual 4 times and can't find anything regarding this. Anyone out there have this motor and if so knows what I should do with this wire. Thanks in advance for the help.:)

This motor probably has a built in tranducer for a locator. If so, there are a number of adapter cables that converts the MinnKota plug to whatever locator you have.

the I-Pilot eliminates your foot pedal so you cant use it anymore. That wire runs up to the reciever in the head for the remote for your i-pilot and needs to be hooked up to the base for control of the motor where your foot pedal used to hook up.

Minn Kota Terova's still allow use of the foot pedal with the I-Pilot installed.

The 4 prong wire going thru your coil from the head is the transducer wire that attaches to a fish finder with the adapter that coincides with your brand of fishfinder. I have the terrova model and my foot pedal is compatible with the i-pilot. The power drive model foot pedal is non functional once you attach the i-pilot feature to your motor. You can only use the remote with the powerdrive units.
