I bought a Minnkota Powerdrive P40dc? off of ebay, it seems to work just fine. My question is when I pull it up out of the water it will leak water out of the top of the shaft right where it meets up with the head unit ( the white top of the motor) Is this normal or is there a seal that is bad that can be replaced? Thanks!!

It is not normal and I hope you didn't pay a bunch for this motor. It needs to be disassembled and sealed. The fact that it has even "some" water in it is an indication that the motor internals will eventually rust and any electronics in there are also prone to damage. Chances are the prop shaft seal was cut by fish line wrapped around the shaft and not removed thus allowing water inside.
