I had a similar problem. It was a while ago and I haven't seen my motor in months. So sorry for being a little vague but it is likely dirty and your not getting good contact. I cleaned the foot control with a little wd40 and that solved the steering problems. Just to be clear I mean clean the area between the base and the top foot plate. ie where the wires connect.<br /><br />Since you can steer one way I doubt it's anything more than a little gunk or rust. <br /><br />good luck <br />Kevin
