Mis from 1400-3000rpm 200hp 1987

We have a mis that comes on more at the lower rpm we checked the carbs 1 of the tubes inside were rotted we replaced with a piece of 1/4" copper tubing any know problems with these motors how about the reed valves does anything ever go wrong with them. I am not 100 pecent sure it's not an electrical problem well any input is greatly appricated thanks chris

Tell us more about that piece of copper tubing.

Johnson the copper tube took the place of some kind of hi speed venture tube that went down ito th bowl of the cab it did not get rid of the mis but helped a little
