Hey, thanks kcassells and GT. This new message board is kind of tricky for me. I didn't realize anyone said anything.

Yep, the two rolling spares up front are nice for moving this thing around. I can either pick up on the front or push down on the handle bars on the outboard to raise the front and point it a different direction. I put the handle bar looking bracket off the Big Twin on the Ski Twin. it rolls so good it'll roll away if I'm not watchin'... ha..

Pretty much sure I'm going to go with the '69 Selectric 40 hidden under the hood of the '59 Big Twin. Found out the '59 is called a "Golden Jubilee". The 50'th anniversary of Evinrude outboards. That is cool. Going to restore the hood to original and polish everything that is alloy, it will rock. Besides those old timers mix at 24:1. Cutting the oil demand in half is the only way.

I don't know if I can put pictures on. Got a couple more, I'll give it a try. Guess I can't do pictures anymore. Seems the picture files are too big. If picture files from my phone are too big than how do they get put on here? Going to have to stick to You Tube stuff..

Steady as she goes.....

Hey, cool. I am waiting for calm fair weather to take her up north. Believe me, I'll have video of this pirate ship steering Houghton Lake soon.

I am enjoying it now. The months of work will show soon....

It was sure fun this time up on the old pirate ship. She is running real good. Dialed down the prop pitch to 13. Runs right up to 5,300 r.p.m.'s at a decent 29 mile an hour.

Now I'm thinking of going vintage four banger......

Still thinking of fabricating a small plane thing. Noticing I should be able to pick up the engine another 1/4 inch? The plane fin won't be touching the water at 3/4 and full throttle....

Hey thanks, I'm still a little nervous but loosening up real fast. I can steer around in water below my knees, it's pretty cool.

Thanks for sharing, sir...I love going for rides on Miss Peachtree!

Hey GT, it looks real shallow, but all the way up by the yellow buoy the water is still over my knees when I clip her up. I got to get used to coming in slower and maybe either jumping in or using the paddle. I've got sea legs now. Going out of the east bay to the open waters of Houghton Lake next time for sure.

No Title

Knew some people who took pictures of the old girl in action. Lots of good time on Houghton Lake.

Was a great time up at Houghton Lake this time around. Realizing pictures won't load I do have a couple short video clips. I should of shot some more. Next time I am going to take video's of longer duration with more throttle applied................. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sn3IzPnkIbk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stqEeyU036w

There was one thing I did overlook before the videos were shot. The roller thingie that rolls on the timing stator plate cam was not staying on the cam at low throttle. Making it hard to start and spitting somewhat of a backfire at idle. It was the what seems to be the anti-too much throttle at start up lock out gizmo out of adjustment.... haha.... Adjusted that and that was it, a perfect very low idle and start up speed.

Now Hear This:

I am challenging the iboats community to double the horsepower again on Miss Peachtree....

It is time to upgrade to the mighty Evinrude Sportfour! I am located in southeastern lower Michigan and Northern Michigan. I can drive quite a distance towing the little china boy trailer with the little Kia Boy..... haha..... If there is anything out there matching this description let me know.... Short or long shaft, standard or selectric, '65 to '69...... Running or not, spare parts are good..... The ideal engine would be short shaft selectric in fine condition. I don't know what the heavy-duty is, yet I presume it is a stronger lower unit. I will find the specific service manual when I settle into an outboard I decide to use.

See you guys next time......

Steady as she goes....

Miss Peachtree, 1953 Chris Craft kit boat.: http://youtu.be/9PzbBLp1df4 Seems like the battery is charging ok. Still looking for a solid state rectifier regulator. Think I will add a battery cut out switch too.

Rock and Roll She's a bad mudder .....um Good for you. You and your gizmos! Don't forget the molecular vibrational ionizer neutraliser. Ever get any feedback on the elusive engine you are looking for?

Hey and HI,

I think the ions left town and the electrons are pointing to water... ha.

Now I'm thinking if I double the ponies again???? New things to think about, an electrical threshold....

Sixty ponies, as in a sport four may lend a comfortable cruising speed and be right there as far as r.p.m.'s to charge the battery.
with some spare throttle that wouldn't be called upon all the time.

I would like to hid something a bit newer, say a 50:1 Sportfour under a Fatfifty hood.

See ya next time

Steady as she goes.....
