MISSING DOLLAR

Three men go to a boarding house and pay the owner $10.00 each for a room. 10 +10 +10 = $30<br /> The owner decides that $10.00 each is too much for the room and gives her son $5.00 to give back to the three men.<br /> The son gives each man $1.00 and keeps $2.00 for himself. 1+1+1 +2 = $5.00<br /> This means that each man paid $9.00 for the room. $10.00-$1.00 =$9.00<br /><br />$9.00 +$9.00 +$9.00 =$27.00 and the $2 the kid kept =$29.00<br /><br /> WHERE IS THE MISSING DOLLAR

I don't know where the missing dollar is, but here in Kentuck, if you take $30-5=$25 and if you add the $3+$2 that equals $5+$25=$30.

The dollar isn't missing. You counted the $2 the bellboy kept twice and didn't count the $3 they got back.

Momma still has it. She gave back $5<br />30-5= $25 actually paid<br /><br />Son kept $2 = $27<br />$2 + $25 =$27 actually paid<br />1+1+1=$3 + $27 = $30<br />Kentuk has it right, so does |Florida...don't wanna hear no counting comments about votes and chads and such!
