Missing kickstand on a Force 120

Hi all,

I encountered a video online which made me realize I'm missing a kickstand (that's the right term, yes?) for my motor. I need to do some work on the trim & tilt unit and was wondering how to secure the motor in an upwards position. Here's a snapshot of the kickstand from the video and a link to the video. Can someone please assist in locating this part so I can purchase it online? Motor is most likely a 92'.

Thank you all in advance,
Yarin.

Thats called a trailering bracket.

But please don't rest the motor on it when trailering, they often fail.

Mercury part number 819504A2

BRACKET KIT-TRAILERING

$174.95

Yes, that is $175 , available from any mercury dealer.

But try ebay for a used one.

Ebay has them. "force trailering bracket"
Ebay used to be a good inexpensive place to buy. NOT!!
Everybody wants to get rich. :(

To work on the T@T block it up with a 4ft.(?) 2X4
Then be very careful it doesn't get moved and you loose a hand or two??

There's a few posts on this forum on T@T repairs.
First 4 posts have a lot of good info.

One very important thing: DO NOT !!!! take the hyd. pump apart.
The pump doesn't usually go bad.
The 2 TINY,TINY washers is what usually needs replacing(see pics in the hyd. repair posts.

One last thing: be very careful when hooking up the stainless lines.
Cross thread one time and you might be buying a new pump.

trailering brackets are usually not installed if there is TnT

as Jerry stated, use a chunk of wood or a jack stand

Found out the hard way:
Use the trailering bracket and tie the motor down on the bracket.
Make sure the cotter pin won't come out and allow the motor to bounce up and down as you travel. Can blow the seals.
The bounce can blow the seals(already old) and you'll be replacing them.
Start looking for old motors already off and often time cheap.
I bought a 1988/125 for 125$ The flywheel key was sheared. Fixed that and had a bunch of usable parts.
