1990 350 mag. All was good until I came home pulled the drain plug and red oil came out. Got back in boat and ps pump had almost no fluid. I removed pressure and return lines. All dry by the cyLinder and ps pump. No oil spray. Hoses looked new ONLY trace of wetness was main return line at the ps cooler. Any other place it could leak from?

loose hose clamp on the low pressure return line or a split hose end under the clamp. Refill it and start the motor and look.

I ran it still broke with more atf and didn't see any leaks except the wetness. I'm wondering if high rpm runs would push more fluid out . I did cut back an inch of hose and installed with new clamp. We shall see.

Pressure test the return line. You have 1200 psi on the pressure side and about 50 on the return. Many times the PS cooler is what leaks. My suggestion is to clean and degrease everything. Then ad a dye to the oilband use a black light. You will see the leaks

I had the same problem recently. It was a split hose end at the PS cooler. Moved the clamp up a little, retightened it and solved the problem.

Well I found the leak. It's leaking out of the boot on the ps control valve. Part is nla, seal kit is nla. I see them used on ebay. If I can find a seal kit, is it hard to imstall? Any other options?

Looks like I have to upgrade to the newer style 806034A ram and get new lines or use adapters and reuse my lines...
