Re: Missing some type of wiring harness on outboard...any ideas?
haha...no joke my friends. That pic is a little old. The boat has been cleaned up quite a bit since then. The boat was given to me and is actually in decent shape, but has just been the victim of a hurricane and has been sitting up ever since. I ran this boat quite a bit before the storm and it did great, never a problem. I know that the motor looks a little rough now, but I'm not ready to haul it off to the scrap yeard just yet.
During the storm, while the boat was in the slip down at the marina, the water had risen high enough to float all of the boats out of thier slips which created a gigantic mess of free roaming boats colliding with each other and causing all kinds of damage. This boat was actually hit from behind by another boat which shaved off the top of the plugs, the wires, and whatever distributor they might have connected to.
I was just unsure as to what was on the back of the motor that the plug wires plugged into. Is it some kind of distributor cap or are there coil packs?? I'm having trouble tracking down a repair manual for this motor which is why I'm asking these questions.
Didnt mean to alarm anyone...I completely forgot about it being April Fool's Day...Thanks again.
