Mock up, thoughts???

Just built new bumper's and I am mocking up for the side's of the boat.
I am just not sure these are long enough (8foot) or do I need to go with longer lumber (10 foot)???

Here are three sets of "bumpers"...two of these sets I try to keep on my boat at all times...

I would see how they do while floating the boat on and off the trailer, then decide the final height and position, usually they set farther towards the rear, I know that much.
