mod # trouble

on the 1985 85hp force.... went to the lacal marine place 2 of them and they say they cant find my model number they say i have it wrong,, but it aint i just checked for the 3rd time and its right...

why cant they find this motor???? thanks

They most likely have no idea about Force outboards. Try giving them this number HO856X85L or you can order parts from the web. I have had GREAT success with Crowley Marine. Here is a link to your model HO856X85L
