Model Year Yamaha F115 ???

Old question but important when ordering parts and the like. What is the model year of an engine based on following info: Model: F115TLR, manufactured date: 9/05, Serial Number: 68VL1055558. I believe it is officially a 2006 model but am wondering. Thanks in advace.

as yours only has 3 alpha charatcers as a suffix its for the 06 production run, the 05 run had 4 alphas with the last being a model year desgination.
from 06 and up its all by seriel number runs.
