While im rebuilding the powerhead on my 50 deto, And since its a euro model and im in california im wondering which 84 models from Yamaha parts I can use. Or which years parts will fit like pistons bearings and any other stuff I can use. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

here in the states there were only 2 50hp motors listed in 1984 a 50ETLN and 50 ETSN a long shaft and a short shaft.

How would we know if they are the same as those outside the USA?
You can buy parts and hope, but if you had so much problems taking it apart I would say it is not worth messing with and hoping you find the correct parts

Dont know how anybody would know. I dont know so thats why i posted it on here. Was just hoping someone knew something more about yamaha motors than i do. Like you did .I did not the etln and sn were long and short shafts. So thanks for that info it helps alot.
