We are banned from complaining about moderators on this forum and told to go to the moderator site. However, when that site comes up it says we are not permitted on the site.

I do not understand how to complain when I believe a certain moderator by his remarks and inference addresses my intelligence by a remark such as:
whatever....

Moderators are entitled to have opinions too, and you are just a guest here. Because someone volunteers their time to try to reign-in us crazies, does not disqualify them from having even GREATER privileges than the rank-n-file crazies. Been there, done that got the tee shirt, and dont want another... God bless every one of them!
And keep complaining, man. It clarifies things.

12 footer, So it is your opinion moderators are not guided by the same rules as the posters, and they are like a privileged few who are subject to their own power.

Now I understand why you are such a big supporter to the present administration in Washington.

Thanks Ebb, I tried the top moderator and got no help. You may be right on the big picture but I did read the book and it was better than the movie anyway.

I suppose you thought this was a democracy, huh? You are only here because you abide by the rules, and are not being too much of a load on the moderators' delete key --- yet.

You no more understand that then you do Islamic terror, TX. But i am taking into acount the source. You would have to have an elementary understanding of opposing views on the larger issues we debate here, before I swallow that "understanding" noise.

12 you make me glad I am having a hard time becoming a right winger as I still know that not agreeing does not mean one does not understand.

Re: Moderators your attention pls.

Bashing mods on their forums is never a good idea. Actually, this is the first time I've ever seen this type of thread last this long in any forum. Don't forget that this is not some public place. This is a private forum owned by iboats. It's a business venture. You can't have constitutional expectations and they don't owe you any "rights". They make the rules, we accept them or go somewhere else. They pay for the server space, the software, the mods salaries, etc.. It's that simple. If you can't take a little personal attack here and there, forums are not for you, esp. open type forums like the dock.

So do I get some shoes or what?

txs, it seems that you need to take a vacation well away from yourself and do be careful with the self-destruct button. ;)

Re: Moderators your attention pls.

txswinner, we have been nice in asking that if you have a problem with the moderation of this site to please use the contact mods button on the upper right sidebar which you have.
I got your's yesterday and I am sure that all the other mods plus Admiin did also.

If a mod did something wrong, then Admin5 will let them know, BTDT.

We do not want an open discussion about it here or on any of the forums.
You have had your say so this is closed.

Next time, use the contact mod button. The next one won't go this far.
Thanks.

Re: Moderators your attention pls.

Mmmmmm...........you mean to say that the mods get paid here? And I always thought they did it all for free. Or maybe get iboats discounts or something. I just hope they are getting paid enough because unless you have been there you do not know how it is.

Having all of that power and getting paid too? Heck, at one time I'd done it for free.......just to get rid of a few. Now, I don't think I would do it for all of the oil in Iraq. But if I were a mod here, I guarantee you that I would rack up more complaints against me than JB has because I would not put up with a lot of the crap that goes on here.

Bet some of the mods wish they were still "in the closet" so to speak. Being anonymous as a moderator certainly has its advantages. Being in the "open" certainly makes you an inviting target for anything and everything you say or do. Trust me, as a former mod on another board, it is not an easy job.

There is a lot of disrepect and slamming (or should that be flaming?) on this board, mostly so in this particular forum. I still stick with what I said in another post regarding the insults and disrespect and moderation of this forum. Whether it comes from mods or members it should be outlawed and controlled.

We can all agree or disagree with each other but do it in a respectful manner.

Txs, you certainly should have the right to address your compaints to the proper channels. I don't believe that doing it in an open forum is the best way. That is just my opinion and doesn't mean it is right or wrong.

I still think we need a "Rant & Rave" forum or "Come Here to Argue and Insult" forum. One not moderated where everyone can go and insult people to their heart's content. Oh, I forgot, that is what this one is now.

As for me, I think I will just do what I did when I first came here three years ago. I will just hang out in the Repair and Maintenance Forums or General Boating/Outside Activities Forums and stay the heck away from here.

That's my rant and I'm sticking to it.

By the way Alden, I like all of those too. I'd even add ugly women to that list. Yes, I like ugly women too.........they try harder and if they happen to get tired of you and leave, you really don't care as much as if it had been a beautiful woman. 8)
