Modern controls on older Volvo Penta

Hi,

I'm in the process of restoring my old Starcraft and I have a volvo Penta AQ130 to drop in it (replacing the buggered up AQ115 already in it)

My question, can I use more modern controls with an older engine or am I stuck using only the original controls that came with the boat?

you can buy brand new controls.....just need to get the right controls and the right cables.
