I ran the boat on the trailer in the lake to make sure everything was running ok. I noticed when I took the oil cap off I notice white film under the cap. There wasn't any water on the dip stick.
Ran the boat out of the water with muffs on and noticed moisture under the oil cap. see picture.
Is this normal??

Re: Moisture in oil cap

was this the first start of season ? I would say you are probably okay, but keep your eye on it just in case.

Re: Moisture in oil cap

Hey, I live in Florida.
I have had the same situation happen with my 470. When you have cold temperatures and the whole engine gets cold then warmer temperatures the motor will condensate. I had to run mine at 3800 rpms for about 30 minutes one time to get all the moister out of the motor, i was running the boat in water. I left the engine cover open and The PVC valve looked like a steam train till all moister was gone. Once steam stopped coming out of PVC there was no more moister on oil cap. I would say it is normal if motor had set up for a while for there to be moister on the oil cap.
