Downside of being retired is you don't have the weekend to look forward to.

C,mon. I'll throw in an extra pizza. Where you at in N. Ohio? Solon's my hometown.

Don't temp me, lol. The wife and I have been looking to make the move down south. I spent some time growing in the Charlotte NC area and she grew up in Commerce Georgia area so we travel that way every year to visit family and absolutely love it.

Solon is about an hour and a half drive from my driveway to the east side. I'm on the west side in Lorain County right along the lake.

I know the area well. I use to white bass fish in the area. I live right by Augusta Ga. C'mon down. It's still warm here!

Yeah I know the Augusta area. I actually looked at a couple of jobs down in that area. I still keep my eyes open for a job in my field. I really like your area though with all those lakes on the eastern part of s.c. it must be nice. Keep a look out for an old sea ray named just keep swimming'

Re: Monday Morning Blues

Ok tell us what you want in a boat. I have a Classic Glastron in my garage with a barefoot boom and it's a beauty, looking for a buyer (but not too hard, I admit) If I knew how to stick a pic here I would add one for you--but it's on the CGOA site as well. $3500.00 it's on a solid Al trailer--they don't make em like this anymore.

Well thank you for the offer, but a drive from Vegas to Ohio to pick up a boat would be a bit wasteful. I'm currently inspecting 3 boats, a 2000 Reinell 200L, a 1996 Baja Islander 208, and a 1994 Sea Ray 220 Signature Select. Not really looking for a classic boat, more of something newer, well kept, and turn key. Really need reliability as I don't want to get stuck in the middle of the lake with my wife and 2 daughters. But once again, thanks for the offer.

Wow that is a long grind--Kudos for keeping that up for so long--what are you making? (I mean what product)

Work for a company that processes shell eggs, meaning we break eggs. Cook shelled eggs into patties that you see in breakfast sandwiches. Get a Dunkin and keep me workin!
I do maintanence repair on ovens, ammonia refrigeration, and boilers which never shut down. The real 24-7-365. Someone from our department is there everyday to monitor this equipment. This past year it was my turn and had to work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve! This year I've had 2 holidays off, Easter, which was my scheduled day off anyways and Memorial Day.

We also have a very high turnover of employees as no one wants to work these hrs or under these conditions.

Ah, the incredible edible egg--always wondered if those things were made of yellow tinted modified food starch--it's good to know they are real eggs! Yes your job would be extremely important and very few experienced skilled techs available to do it. Have been in the HVAC biz all my life, mostly commercial refrig, so understand the difficulty of finding/keeping good techs. So glad you keep up the work, but, remember, they can't replace you easily, and you can say NO ever once in a while.....realize your worth and the value of your time, life is short, live a day or two of it

Yeup! At 57 time becomes more valuable! 2 more weeks then a long needed week off. Taking a couple days and going to the Wisconsin River for some fall fishing and it doesn't matter if we catch anything or not.

Also have a brother in DC that does commercial refrig. Industrial refrigeration is fun when one has to go from working on a 4-600 degree oven into a 30 below 0 freezer!
