i recently purchased a 14' aluminum boat that i feel like traiding for a bigger more cumfy boat ( one my g-friend would go on )

this guy wants to trade flat out for his ( this is all i know )

its a 1959 montgomery ward "gale" boat with a 25 or 35 hp outboard seaking, he sais its a 14 or 15' fiberglass boat, i havent seen it yet, but he sais all it needs is a paint job and tlc, im willing to spend the time and use my handyman skills to make it a good boat, but i would like to know what it looks like before i make the trip to see it...

does anyone know where i can find pictures of this boat ( he doesnt have digital cam) online??? or does any one know any history to these specific boats???

thanks in andvance for any help you can offer...

I think the site is fiberglassics.com

My son't boat has a 25 Sea King and it's going to get a 35 Gale. The 25 will pull me on skis. :)

zuke - Beware of what any seller says. We get lotsa posts where the buyer tells us that the seller said "All it needs is a - - - - ." And then the tale of woe begins.

Re: montg. wards Gale boat with seaking???should i buy

Hi, I have a Montgomery Wards Seaking. It's a 1959 14 ft runabout. It has the original Seaking 35 HP motor made by Johnson. Gale was the manufacturer for Montgomery Wards, but later as I understand became Johnson.
This is a great little boat. I've had mine for about 8 years. It has a bench seat up front with a back and a bench seat in back without a back. I will try to send pics. Just recently painted it and will be looking to sell.
Moves prety good in the water. My boys and I had lots of fun in it!
I'd buy it if it's just in need of a little TLC!!!
Thanks
