I found an old 12' vee bottom boat, with trailer, and a Montgomery Ward 6.5 (according to the owner, haven't seen it yet). I can get the whole mess for peanuts. The engine is stored in his basement, and he says it ran perfect two years ago, which is the last time it was used.<br /><br />I don't need the boat/trailer, but would like to use the motor on my 24' pontoon in the hp restricted lakes near me.<br /><br />I don't know the year, or even the range of years they were made. Are these obsolete motors obsolete because they were junk? <br /><br />I don't need it to do anything but get me from the ramp to the catfish, and back. Half mile at most, and I'm in no hurry, LOL.<br /><br />If this deal, with the small amount of info presented here, showed up, for $100, would you take it?
