Guys I have come across a 87 180X 18' MoodCraft bass boat. It looks like a well built boat but I can't find any info. I have the GLasstream I just got but this was also on the trade list and I just picked it up. It looks like it's built better than the Glasstream 175 Elite but I am no expert. It just feels more solid. It is a V design and although it's a foot wider it's 8" narrower. Does anyone know anything about them because I am just keeping one and want to keep the batter of the 2. Thanks

Not much out there - a little bit HERE. At that age though, condition is probably a bigger deal than which boat was originally the "better quality."

Thanks southkogs. Yeah I found that earlier, I did find they were made local here in TN in Elizabethan. The Moodcraft has bad carpet behind the consols and the floor is a little soft there. But the foam and hull are in great shape. I found a few spots in the Glasstream where the decking under the fiberglass is wet so this isn't a good sign. I will just tear the floor out of both of them and the one with better stringers is the keeper I guess. I was hoping someone would know which one is faster.

Gotcha' - lotsa' ole' bass boat companies here in TN that surfaced for a while. All of 'em seemed to be pretty similar. If the hulls are comparable, and rated for roughly the same HP - I would say you can count on pretty close top speeds at WOT (between the two). Rigging and hull weight will play a role in the difference too.

But the way I see 'em flying around out on Priest ... ain't much difference ;)
