Moorage costs?

Just curious to know what people are paying for moorage in different areas. I pay around $205 a month if I sign a 1 year deal. My boats a 26' but I need a 28' slip. I had to wait for a few months but this is the cheapest moorage I could find.

I pay $4100 for the year for a 40 ft covered slip, includes lift/lower and power/water/showers,etc. In the Orillia Ont area.

Hi i moor my 21ft boat at penarth marina in south wales uk at a cost of £1385 per year deal

My boat is 45ft. The pen will accomadate up to 60ft. $3300.00 (AU) for 1 year, that's about $2500US. <br /><br />Includes - 12ft pontoon tender, social club BBQ's, 24hr surveliance security, swipe card gate entry, free refueling (I pay for the fuel, they take the boat to and from the fuel barge & refuel free of charge), during and after storm inspection (they check bilges and toons - pump out if needed). Toilet tank pumpout station. Free trailable boat storage.<br /><br />Not a bad deal when you consider all the benefits.<br /><br />Aldo

swinging mooring at yacht club, club fees (not strictly needed but the use of the facilities is useful) £200 + mooring maintainance only about £200 every 3 years all in about £270 per year including use of two slip ways, pontoon, showers, winter storage not too bad heh?

you'd pay around $3000 for the season around here, and then another $600-800 for haul/storage/launch.

Well,...... <br />I just paid $49,500. for 36' of deepwater concrete dock, with a 20' slip on 1 side,+ another 20' on the other side,........ <br /><br />And it came with a House,.............. <br /><br />Do some shopping,+ you can find dockage for about any boat for Less than a Grand, a season......<br />Depends on which Neighborhood you want to live in........

$360 annually here for a covered dock, 24 hr surveillance and electric.

She floats in Alameda, California. I pay $1.20/ft, month-to-month contract, billed monthly but I pay whenever I get around to it, I try to do it quarterly. Includes restroom, shower, unlimited electrical, 24/7/365 access. Oakland is rebuilding her waterfront, should open up a bunch of boat parking spaces soon. I’m speculating $3.5 to $5/ft.<br /><br />The commercial fisherman at San Francisco’s piers are paying $1/ft. SF wants to up it to $3.50/ft, the fisherman said “no, we’ll leave” so the city backed down, for now. SF survives on tourism, part of it is the whole fisherman’s wharf thing. If the boats leave, SF loses a ton on tourist dollars…I guess tourists don’t want to go to a fisherman’s wharf where there are no fisherman or fresh fish.

Bondo – last year when I checked, Berkeley Calif was about 1/2 that price for pretty much the same thing. California has an overall shortage of boat parking, due to the increasing cost of housing. Living on a boat is becoming an increasing popular alternative to an unaffordable mortgage payment, and no property taxes.<br /><br />Something to watch for in California, maybe also elsewhere: it is illegal for a marina to resell electricity for a profit. They cannot charge anymore than the power company charges the marina per/kw. Many boat owners don’t know this and are paying a premium for their electrical, some as much as 2 or 3 times the cost, tho they don’t have to pay it.

I pay $300. a year.I have a 19'5" boat but they don't charge by the foot.The longer your here the better your spot.I started out with a dock space that was in about 21/2 ft. of water and sat where the seagulls seemed to live.This year I got lucky and traded up for a spot in with all the other lucky people.Now I have enough dock space for up to 30ft.Its pretty nice because its at a private club that is known for having the best outdoor parties around.They even bring in clowns and a petting zoo for the kids.I think I have a nice deal,but it would be nice if I could talk the wife into getting something a little bigger to fill up my new" parking space"

Monthly..... Rates vary anywhere from $10 too $20 per foot of boat, depending on lenght of lease and lenght of boat or perhaps lenght of the slip where the boat would be moored... <br /><br />And that's IF you can find a slip...<br /><br />For my 21', with 2' of swim platform, I expect to pay $350-$400 a month bare minimum, with a one year deal...

Magster65-<br />Here in Ohio things are not as expensive as the coasts. On the south shore of Lake Erie we only have a 6 to 8 month boating season each year. We dock a 32' cruiser with a swim platform for $800. per season. We have both water and power. For additional $$ a pool and a shower/bath facility are available.<br /><br />Only one problem - we are with a bunch of sail boats (only one other power boat) The dock owner is great however and keeps the halyards from slapping the masts. <br /><br />And Port Clinton is adding a municipal facility to attract transient boaters. Should help in keeping dockage costs from rising. <br /><br />erie_guy

I guess I should have filled in the blanks alittle better,............<br /><br />I bought an 1800sq.' House with the concrete dock,........... <br /><br />With 40' of frontage, house,+ the dock,....... I Doubt it could be bought in Berkeley Calif., for even Several Times what I paid.........

Oh. An 1800sq-ft house in Berkeley is going for about $750,000.00+. If you want it near the water, double or triple that.<br /><br />Like I said, living on a boat is becoming increasingly popular with the housing market here being planted well inside of insanity.
