two things how does one go about "winterising a boat" I did a search n came up with nothing useful. Also how do I know what type of steering system I have? rack and pinion? rotary? I lost steering abilities last trip out this season boat mechanic said bad keyway and cable 200 bucks to fix but i see right here on iboats the have whole systems cheaper. what do you all think?

Ayuh,...........

Just LOOK up-under the Dash,+ See whether it's a Rack, or Rotary...........

Your Mechanic is Probably looking at a slight Profit, and/or Labor..........
Of Course,...... It's Always Cheaper to Do It Yourself........

under the dash the rack has a bar, that attaches to the helm, the rotary is round with the cable coming in one side and coming out the same side.
