Ok, so tonight I go fishing. I take the boat to the launch ramp and launch it. Then I tie it off and go to park the van and trailer. Some clown is parked in his car right in front of the sign that says, "Cars with trailers only", eating his lunch. I toot the horn and he ignores me, so I inform him that he is parked illegally. Still he ignores me so I go up to his window and point out the sign. "Oh, that sign is for this whole row, so you can park down there" Right, except that the row is designed for diagonal parking and every spot except for one if filled with other idiots who (like him) are parked perpendicular. Also, he is still the one who is most definitely in the wrong. The others could have argued that the sign is for that spot only. (They already have, trust me, I know.) Real tight to get the trailer and tow vehicle in correctly. Ok, I manage to get parked and go fishing.
When I come back some real loser is playing water fetch with her three dogs (Labs or similar). As I am pulling the boat onto the launch ramp area, she tosses the toy right in front of me. I say "Bad move lady", she looks at me like "what did you say?", so I repeat it, and expain that she had tossed her dog's toy into the boat launch as I was coming in. "oh, I didn't see you". Later I politely explain that as a boat, I can't stop fast. Again "I said I did not see you." Ok, I drop it, she did have very dark glasses on. Perhaps she was really blind, but apparently not deaf. What really bugged me was that she continued to play with her dogs in the same area. If I had hurt her dog, it would have ruined her day, my day, and most definately the poor dogs day.
This is the same ramp where last weeked, a woman (who might have been a little slow) caught an about 12 inch bass. I comment to her that they must be at least 15 inches to keep. As she said, "I know", she dropped it into her bucket.
