hi guys.feel the need to put my 2 cents in.
on my 22' reinell there was no wood under the floor
no stringers either.dumb in my opinion.there was glassed in foam.i do plan on building an egg crate out of 1/2" marine grade ply and then glassing and replacing the foam.but there has to be alot of structural strength to foam

AHHHHHHHH just use it you need it ............................ it does remove flex from the banging of the hull it helps make the boat rigid and if eveyr 10 or 15 years you replce the decks youll stay alive USE the foam

Ayuh,..........

Earlier this winter, I was puttering around the Rental Riverhouse,+ I shot some Canned Foam into a few cracks around here,+ there........

When I was done, I just left the nearly empty can sitting on the edge of the foundation,.....
I happened to be out there the other day,....
When I flipped the light on,... I couldn't Believe what I was Seeing.........
I Swear,.. I did Not stage this picture,... It's Just as I found it........
