This spring before getting my boat in the water I noticed that power tilt & trim would raise the motor but not lower it. Motor is 1979 Evinrude 100. I checked the fluid level and added some fluid but not much. The motor would still not go down. I could hear the motor running in both the up and down directions. After loosening the manual bypass the motor came down manually and would go up under power, but not down. Also hydrolic fluid leaked out of the manual bypass until there was not enough fluid to go up under power. Now I have two problems - leaking manual bypass and a tilt & trim that goes up but not down. I am in need of help - can't afford a new tilt and trim even if I could find one.
