As mentioned in my lasst post this motor does "appear" to be a Johnson or Evinrude. <br /><br />However the numbers;<br />75X704930 (Serial # on Tag)<br />704930 (# on Plug in Block)<br />CC9026A (Model # on Tag)<br />DO NOT MATCH any listed for either Johnson or Evinrude.<br /><br />IS there a way to cross reference Montgomery Wards numbers with Johnson/Evinrude etc.

Monkey Wards motors were made by Gale in the 1960s. In the 1970s they were Chryslers. Many were Clintons mixed somewhere in there. Gale is sort of a generic Johnnyrude, made in Galesburg in central Illinois. Johnnyrudes were made in Waukegan near Chicago (and other places). Many parts are the same, many are not. That CC9026A looks like a Chrysler number.

OK WIlly,<br />The part about the Parts being the same makes sence as they are. Now, I would like to find a shop manual and parts list for the thing so I can get it going, what's next????!!!!
