motor backing plate?

sorry not sure if this is the right forum or not :)
anyway im looking to replace the wooden plate behind the transom with a nice looking aluminum plate, ive looked and looked for these and cant seem to find anything other than power tilt and trim accessories perhaps im just missing the correct name for them, a point in the right direction would be appreciated :)

Yep, should be able to get a piece of diamond plate aluminum from any decent sized hardware store of big box home improvement store.

One question, why did you block out your license plate number on the trailer?
Anyone driving down the street will be able to see it. Why does it matter if it is posted on the internet? Seriously, I don't understand.

Roscoe, actually it's a good practice. with as many scams going around the internet. you would be surprized how much info they could get from that number. the creeps are to lazy to go out and get the numbers.

Seems totally pointless and futile to me.
Unless you're going to hide the plates all the time, what good does it do.

Ya probably don't need this much (hanging massive HP off it..this was building it last winter)...but a couple plates, machine shop can bend them, slather 3M 5200 on them, and it will even take care of a slightly rotted transom..
