Motor compartment broken latch

I recently purchased a 1996 Wellcraft excel 19sx. The latch on the padded top is broke/partially missing. Looking for a picture of the latch. I have tried to find an OEM part with no luck. Im sure I can retro fit a new one but Ive already made a couple attempts and Failed. First attempt was large industrial velcro strips. Ive thought about ceramic magnets too. The cover wants to come up at around 50mph. It wont need much to keep it closed. Any help or ideas is appreciated thanks

check out ebay or greatlakesskipper and replace with a proper latch.
