Motor Control Help.

I Have A 16 Foot Center Console With A Mercury Outboard And Want To Purchase A 1998 Johnson 50 Hp To Install On The Boat. I Currently Have A Top Control Box Made By Ultraflex. The Johnson Is Coming With A Side Control Box. My Older Ultraflex Control Does Not Have A Trim/tilt Button Or Key In It. The Johnson Control Does. Is There A Way To Make Johnson Control Box Fit My Center Console?? Wouldn't The Cables Have To Take Several Bends To Get Them From Console To Their Routing Position Under The Center Of Floor Boat?? Is There Another Control Type I Can Use ? Please Help Me!

if the tilt switch is the only problem, you can just use a dash mounted toggle switch for the tilt. mom on -- off -- mom on. that is what i have on several boats.
