I just read in my manual that when you are using a motor flusher the water should only be turned on slightly before starting. I'm using it on my 1979 120 merc. I have been getting water in the oil. I changed the head gasket, checked for cracks, and checked the manifold and riser. I "may" have fixed the problem, I won't know until I start using the boat. I'm wondering about the flusher causing water to get into the engine oil. If I turn the water on full blast and then go start the engine and let it idle could the water somehow get into the oil?
