I have a Motor Guide bow mount foot-controlled 71 lb thrust trolling motor with the single cable steering. I had a broken tooth on the pinion nut, so I replaced it and thought all my problems were gone.
I took it out after replacing the nut, and now when I try to turn to the extremes (way left or way right) it skips teeth. I am assuming that when I put the pinion nut back in, I messed up some sort of tension setting.... so how do I fix it?
