I noticed last week that the head of my trolling motor was turning. I found (3) areas where the screws use to be. In which someone but rivets in that didn’t hold. In a rush to get to everything ready to go fishing the next morning I used some mp1 to try to secure it but it didn’t hold. I didn’t think it was but rivets wouldn’t work and didn’t have the correct screws for it. So I will need to cut the mp1 backand find the screws they will hold it or go another route on getting it to stay. Any ideas of the screws needed or a way to fix permanently so the head will stay in a fixed position?

Can you go to MotorGuide and see if you can get a new head, just the shell and no electronics?

The original screws are likely to be some kind of coarse threaded sheet metal screws. If the threaded part of the screw hole is cracked, don't even try to fix, bond it, etc as it will crack the first time a screw goes in.
