I have a Motor Guide Trolling Motor that is about 22 years old. Motor Guide III, model number 2600,
s/n 65924. I am looking for a newer design prop that will do more/better than the stock one.
Also, does anyone have a clue what thrust it might be?

Thanks

Re: Motor Guide Trolling Motor

Just guessing from the model number I'd say 26 pounds thrust.

Upinsmoke,

Thanks for the response. It makes sense. Now, where can I find some parts schematics, if anywhere?

Thanks again,

Mike

Re: Motor Guide Trolling Motor

Not much to these motors. Generally they use a few speed coils to control the speed and and a switch to select which one. What's the problem? Parts will need to come from MotorGuide or some on-line firm specializing in trolling motor repair. Check e-bay for another "parts motor".
