this little guy has had a hard life, but I think I can restore some of it's dignity.

I know it is a West Bend, but beyond that I am stumped.

It is a single hole, I am thinking a 4 horse? It is loose with what seems to be very good compression. I have never tinkered with a West Bend before, this should be fun.

any help with the ID?

ID looks like the Sea King 4HP made by Chrysler for Montgomery Wards, Chrysler stopped producing outboards in 1984, the start of your serial number should be the year it was made.

Thanks Kieth and Tom. I kinda wish it were older, but hey, it looks old.

Kieth, question, can you share your GIF of the Seagull with me?? That is

cool, and I have three BS 40 Plus that run great, and one in a box that needs rings.

I can not stop you using the GIF, you can copy it as is or PM me your E-mail and I will send you the original, if you like.
In the middle of doing a 1966 CPC Century 100 plus, not bad for ?30, should have more poke than the 1952 little model 40, and its got a clutch, that will be something new.

I would like the original if you don't mind. I am not confident in my digital ablities (I don't know what a PM is).... so the easiest way would be best.

you can send to whec722@gmail.com

I have always wanted to play with a seagull that has a clutch, but it has not happened yet. Have you put rings in one yet?? I have a 40+ that has zero compression but otherwise complete.

If I figure out how, I will send a pic of my 40's, one of them is "car-show" condition. I love running them, just for the smell if nothing else.

Thanks,
Capt. Dave
