Motor ID questions?

I picked up two outboards today, one running one not. Where can I ID them?<br />1. Johnson super sea-horse<br />mod#33952A ser# C53810<br />2. Evinrude Norseman 40<br />mod# 40454s ser# C62170<br />TIA<br />Larry

That's no Johnson, that's an Evinrude!<br />It doesn't matter, they're both the same so the cover from a Johnson fits onto an evinrude. Probably got swapped at one time.<br /><br />The model 33952 "Johnson" is a 1969 33hp. The Norseman is a 1974 40hp.<br /><br />Both share a lot of parts, as you no doubt noticed.

No trouble at all. My current/future project engine is a '65 33hp, so if there's any info or anything you need, just ask. Thanks for the comeback on the bowl clamp, I'm glad to hear it's being put to good use.
