i have been offerred an o/b motor with no name on the coverand i don't know enough for simple visual id i get the idea(from owner) it is a evinrude, It is a v4 cylinder 2 cycle motor and on the transom mounting bracket it is stamped 185932 and below that says 25BN1, any help as to model, year and HP.

Been doing some research and it seems like it is a v4 crossflow either 85 or 115 hp, I believe, from 70's -80's. I would like to id year of build and hp though.
PS-the little casting plug on top of engine says 2BBXCTR and under that
J0786106
Any thoughts on this motor.

I didn't receive it. Anyway, here's a tool that will shrink the pictures for you. 75-50% should scale it down small enough to upload.

The model number 2BBXCTR is for a 1983 1.6L OMC Sea Drive.

That looks almost identical to my 1990 GT100, except for the fuel and oil parts.
