I have an 1997 evinrude spl model#E11TSLECM serial#G004414067 Iv'e been looking for some info on this model. Can't seam to find nothing on it. Need to know if there's been problems with this model thanks.

That is a '98 model engine based on the (incomplete) model number, though it may have been manufactured in '97.<br /><br />If it is a FICHT injected V6 it is/was a bad engine. The carbed '98s were a lot better, but not perfect.

rider1, Im new to this. so bear with me! to Ancient Mariner, thanks for the info. My motor is carbed. I got the model # from the brass plate on my motor. Is there another place i need to look for it. Motor is running poorly. RPM's run high and low. sometimes runs grate. thank's
