Re: motor lock-up @4000 rpm; how much damage?
Well here it is several weeks later and so far it's running ok, but it starts really hard--I have to hold the choke in for 5-10 seconds on a cold start, which I never had to do. Also, it's hard to start after running; for example, I'll take one skier out, bring him back to the dock and shut the motor down while the next skier gets ready. When I go to start it up it won't start unless I raise the fast idle lever, and then it starts but puts out a big cloud of blue smoke. Any suggestions?
