Motor Lock

Hello,
I have to trailer my boat about 10-15 miles to the nearest lake. I use a transom saver attacted to my trailer. My outboard is a 5 cylinder 150 horse, so it has some weight to it. When I go around a corner the motor pivots. Given a sharp corner with bump or two the transom saver may break. At $25 a pop, I don't want to keep replacing them. Is there a way to lock out the steering or another way to keep the motor from moving?

Thanks,
Tom

Re: Motor Lock

Usually a bit of downward pressure from the tilt and trim will hold it in place.

Otherwise, secure the steering wheel with a short rubber bungee.
