Hi, I'm trying to determin year of manufacture of a 25hp mercury longshaft e/s 
serial number 5833997 The person I purchased it from said it was a 89 model. I'm not so sure. The data plate is missing I got this number off the freeze plug. It look like it could be a serial number. Any help would be grealtly apppreciated......Rich
