Motor not getting gas to bottom spark plug

My motor is running, but only at idle. I ve noticed that if I take off bottom spark plug wire there is no change. Plugs are new and firing good. Seems dry inside like no gas is coming through for plug to ignite. Also to get the motor to run I had to cut a hole in one of the gaskets on the carb which I know cant be right but it works. Anyone familiar with this?

Do a compression test and then let me know the results.Jerry

Thx. Jerry. Whats the easy way to do that at home? Can I take the plug out, hold my thumb over hole and have my son turn key to check it?
