Motor Number? Fone-man help Please

While gathering info to date an engine I came across these numbers. It's a 7 1/2 hp. Wards Sea King. It was manufactured by Clinton. Model # K7503107D - Serial # 6052207R - Then there is another # on the plate, it is #992411. <br /><br />Does anyone know what year this is and what do the extra set of numbers mean? Thanks a lot. i will take a guess at the extra numbers one number may be for clintons parts break down the other may be for wards break down as i said its just a guess

From my research so far, which might be considered incomplete at this time, is listed below:<br /><br />Wards SeaKing 7.5<br />1979-1986<br /><br />Clinton 7.5 Model #K750<br />1973-1984<br /><br />So.... if Clinton mfg'd them for Wards but quit mfg for themselves in 1984... who produced the 7.5 model for Wards during the years of 1985-1986??? The other question is... did Clinton have a 7.5 before 1973???<br /><br />I will keep looking but do not know if I will come up with anything... have tried all my sources & they are running "very" thin!!!

Fone-Man; Thanks, again you didn't let me down. That puts me in the ball park. At least I'm prtty sure that it's a 70's Model. A K750 was made between 73 & 84. If you nail it down any closer fine, if not many, many thanks. Hal.

My info indicates a Clinton K750 in 74,75. Sea King lists K750 as model numbers 52257(75), 52259(75), 52275(74), 52277(75).The 750 is not listed in the horsepower section at all probably an oversight.
My coverage stops in 84 with clinton number 50577(81,82,83,84).
Clinton coverage stops in 80.Publication is 89.
